Description:
- Controlled or continuous carrier.
- Features 4-wire full- or half-duplex operation. Use the Limited-Distance Modem 56/64 for local data distribution over unconditioned 4-wire telephone lines. You get 6 miles (9.6 km) on 19 AWG wire at 56 or 64 kbps. The RS-232 versions support sync and async communication. You can also perform ITU V.54-compliant loopback tests. Two loops are available: local analog for testing local modem operation and remote digital for remote modem operations. You can activate the loops just by flicking a switch. A test LED tells you when a diagnostic loop is active.
