The Tiger II Controller Platform includes controller boards, plug-in expansion capabilities and network interfaces, and powerful yet easy-to-use Doors(tm) software for managing access control for all entrances in the system. The Tiger II Controller Platform itself contains all the necessary input/output functionality necessary to manage a single door--whether you need lock-relay, door-sense or request-to-exit capabilities--and can be connected to two readers as well as provide alarm output. To expand your access control, each controller board has an RS-485 port for linking to other Tiger II boards. In all, you can connect up to 128 controllers in a loop configuration. For further expansion, order the optional Tiger II LAN Port Option. It plugs into the controller's RS-232 serial port and converts serial data to IP data for transmission over Ethernet. That way, you can link to thousands of controllers. The RS-232 port is also used to connect a PC that communicates with the first Tiger II Controller in the network.
