Use this server to connect programmable logic controllers and other RS-232/422/485 industrial equipment, such as milling machines, measurement instruments, even robots, to your copper network via fiber. The server is also ideal for connecting other devices such as card readers, lab equipment, medical equipment, and more. Plus the server makes it easy to integrate fiber cabling without modifying your existing copper network. You can keep costs down while upgrading! The server also eliminates the worry about EMI/RFI interference and data degradation in industrial areas. By using a terminator DIP switch, you can create the illusion of an infinite line for a true multidrop network. Choose the Pure Networking Copper Device Server (LS4103A) to connect to serial devices over your 10- or 100-Mbps UTP Ethernet network. Pure Networking Device Servers may be used as standalone devices, in a rackmounted chassis, or on a DIN rail.
