Description:
Eliminate any worries over cable interference, ground loops, or other wiring anomalies by sending your RS-232 or RS-485 data communications without using cable. Ideal for factory settings, BLACK BOX(R) Compact and DIN Rail Wireless Modems enable you to send data at distances much further than a wired RS-232 or 2-wire RS-485 connection--600 feet (182.8 m) to 1300 feet (396.2 m) indoors and 2 miles (3.2 km) outdoors. For even greater distances, add the 900-MHz Repeater (MDR213A). Operating at a frequency of 900-MHz, the modems use Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum transceivers that ensure reliable communications by having the frequency hop from one channel to another. The DIN Rail versions are ideal for industrial applications where you need to mount the modems directly on the track within a DIN rail cabinet or rack.
