The fiber model (LE6611C) supports both half- and full-duplex operation. The 10BASE2 model (LE6609C-R2) supports half-duplex operation only. The 4-pin power connector plugs right into your PC's power supply. No IRQ addresses are required. Configure UTP ports with simple manual crossover/pass-through switches. With the fiber model (LE6611C), you can bring fiber to the desktop by jumpering this converter to an installed 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX card. The fiber model (LE6611C) supports distances up to 4 kilometers (2.4 mi.) at full-duplex and 2 kilometers (1.2 mi.) at half-duplex. The 10BASE2 model (LE6609C-R2) features a switch for enabling/disabling 50-ohm termination on the BNC port. Both come with a Y power cable, one PCI bracket, and one ISA bracket. The LE6611C also includes a 1-foot RJ-45 CAT5e 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX cable.
