Description:
- Autosenses 10- and 100-Mbps speeds.
- Easy to set up. Configure it for local or remote use.
- Page range support and Form Alignment available for line printers and dot-matrix printers configured via AnyNet or SNA on an AS/400.
- Works with laser printers, line printers, and dot-matrix printers. Your legacy system's been reliable since coax was cool. You've invested a lot of money in it. Now you want to get more out of it. And with the BLACK BOX(R) Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print Server, you can. This new solution enables you to connect twinax or coax IPDS, SCS or IPDS SCS/DSC printers to an Ethernet network. By using an Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print Server, you can address an IPDS, SCS twinax, or IPDS, SCS/DSC coax system printer via TCP/IP from an AS/400 or a 3270-type mainframe. And talk about versatility--the printer being addressed can be a laser, line, or dot-matrix printer! The print server communicates the data received over the Ethernet link to the attached coax or twinax printer reliably. But this printer server doesn't just work with IPDS printers--it also works with an SCS twinax or SCS/DSC coax system printer. With the Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print Server, these printers become available to virtually any host on an Ethernet network. These include AS/400 and 3270-type mainframes, and Novell(R), UNIX(R), and Windows(R) 95/98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, and Windows NT(R) host systems. All such host systems can communicate simultaneously with a printer attached to the Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print Server. Line and dot-matrix printers configured via AnyNet(tm) or SNA on an AS/400 offer page range support and posting of the Form Alignment message. The Form Alignment feature is particularly valuable when printing on preprinted forms such as checks and invoices. What sets this print server apart from many others is its ease of use. By using its PrintControl Windows based utility, setup and configuration is straightforward and effortless. Once you've assigned an IP address to the Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print Server, you can configure it right from your desktop--whether it's attached locally or remotely. The Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print Server also autosenses 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T speeds. It adapts automatically! Plus its flash memory enables you to download the latest enhancements to protect your investment in both your print server and your legacy system.
