Description:
- Includes Bell 208 mode for compatibility with legacy systems. This is a great modem for remote users. First, you get three levels of async security: password, callback, or none. Next, you can configure it remotely. V.42 bis, V.32 bis, and MNP(R) 5 data compression give you maximum async data throughput--57.6 kbps--for lower phone bills. And V.terbo enables sync data to run 19.2 kbps over 4-wire leased lines or 2-wire dialup lines. Simulated switch-carrier operation (V.13) makes the Modem 32144 perfect for synchronous IBM(R) mainframe networks.
