Isolation transformers provide built-in surge protection! And the benefits keep coming--this mux has a fast sampling rate on each port, so you don't miss any important data bits. Signal distortion is eliminated, too. Line-equalization jumpers cut signal distortion caused by line-impedance mismatches. Even if your communications line has several lengths of wire with different gauges, the jumpers ensure that your Local TDM-8s are synchronized.
