Series 500 Branch-Office ISDN Routers With Series 500 Branch-Office ISDN Routers, you can connect up to 25 remote users to a central LAN or the Internet. Backed by high-speed ISDN BRI lines, these routers enable all users to send or receive data at rates up to 64 kbps (128 kbps with BONDING). You can even send or receive phone and fax calls at the same time. Just attach phone and fax lines to the voice/fax ports--the router does the rest, directing calls to the appropriate device. Protocol spoofing prevents excessive on-line charges by closing down ISDN connections during idle periods and re-establishing them as needed. Series 500 Small-Office ISDN Routers Use the Small-Office ISDN Routers to connect up to 10 learned or configured users to a central LAN or the Internet. Users can remotely access and transfer files, send print jobs, and send and receive e-mail. You can change users at any time. One feature you'll like is the Internet firewall protection that keeps out hackers. The firewall secures all the stations on your local network while allowing access to your Web server. Data compression increases the capacity of both B channels from 128 kbps up to 512 kbps. The amount of time needed to send data is less-- and so are your line charges! You can also reduce your analog phone charges by connecting up to two analog devices, such as a fax and modem or phone, to the router's two voice ports. Both routers include a 10BASE-T Ethernet LAN port and an ISDN BRI WAN module.
