Put it on a rack to stretch your savings. The Modem Rack conveniently fits in any standard 19" rack. Not only does it save money because you don't have to buy 16 desktop modems, but it also saves space and cabling costs. You have the power. The Modem Rack comes with its own power supply. But to ensure your data goes through even if the built-in power supply goes down, you can also outfit it with a second, hot-swappable redundant power supply. Both power supplies are autosensing. Dial M for modem. We could go on and on about the chassis and power supplies, but the most important feature of a modem cage of any kind is the cards it holds. And the hot-swappable modem cards for the Modem Rack are loaded with features! Depending on the model, both cards support 33.6- or 28.8-kbps rates over dialup and 2-wire leased lines, plus they support faxing at up to 14.4 kbps. In addition, the MD1600C card provides Caller ID reporting and dial backup, and it supports Bell 103 and 212A standards across 4-wire leased lines. Our MD1601C card can store up to 30 callback numbers and support DTR and V.25 bis dialing. Use the DIP switch to configure it for optimal performance with an AS/400(R). Virtual brainiacs. There's even more to these modem cards. Every card has intelligent features to make data transmission and operation smooth. Store up to 10 numbers on each card with the automatic dial feature--fill the entire Modem Rack chassis and you have your own directory! Each card also features autoanswering, speed conversion, remote configuration, autorate detection, callback security, and DTMF tone detection. Plus, flash memory enables future firmware updates, and LEDs provide simple monitoring of card status.
