This cable incorporates HD15 and 6-pin mini DIN circuitry into a single HD15 connector that plugs into the switch. To switch between computers, you can use either front-panel buttons or keyboard hot keys. Or use AutoScan--it enables you to monitor the activity of the connected computers at regular 10-second intervals, so you don't have to press any keys or buttons.
