- Compatible with all Token Ring devices. With the BLACK BOX(R) Media Filter, you can use low-cost Type 3 cable in your 16-Mbps Token Ring network instead of expensive Type 1. Connect up to 72 workstations on a single Token Ring with the Media Filter and get speeds up to 16 Mbps on stations up to 200 feet (60.9 m) from their MAUs. You can run at 4 Mbps, too. A digital pulse transformer and equalization circuitry filter keep noise from corrupting your transmission. They reduce noise on Type 3 cable and limit RFI and EMI interference. The Media Filters come with a 6-inch (15.2-cm) pigtail and either an 8-foot (2.4-m) or 10-foot (3.0-m) Patch Cord. Or, choose the Single Case model in which the filter is mounted on the DB9 connector and comes with a 10-foot (3.0-m) Patch Cord. A DB9 to RJ-11 Adapter (one piece) is also available.
