Point-to-point or multipoint operation. Distances up to 9 miles (14.4 km). Async data rates up to 115.2 kbps. Operate with or without transmit "echo." Two-wire half-duplex turnaround controlled by the RS-232 RTS signal. The RS-232 connector is either DB9 or DB25; the RS-485 connector is either a terminal block or DB25. Built-in silicon avalanche diode surge protection against data loss and equipment damage from transient surges. You can also "fine tune" impedance and "echo" characteristics for your individual application. Async RS-232RS-422 Interface Converters Full-duplex data transmission over four wires. Distances up to 4000 feet (1219.2 m). Async data rates up to 19.2 kbps. Handshake signals are looped back. The RS-232 connector is either DB9 or DB25; the RS-422 connector is either a terminal block or DB25. Connect directly to RS-232 equipment. No power supply required--power is drawn from RS-232 data and control signals. Feature full-duplex, 4-wire operation and they loop back all RS-232 handshaking signals. (Note that for RS-530, only transmit and receive data signals are supported.)
