Choose from two different types of print servers, depending on your network setup. Supporting IEEE wireless LAN standards, the compact, easy-to-install 802.11g Wireless Print Servers enable your mobile PC and PDA users to share USB printers from anywhere within communication range. For wired connections, choose our 1-Port Mini or our 3-Port Desktop models. Both include versions for connections to either parallel or USB printers. All 3-port print servers, wired and wireless, are ideal for busy environments where users need access to more than one printer. With all models, you can print by sending jobs directly to the print server (peer-to-peer) or by sending jobs via the print server to a network server that queues them for output (server-based printing). For Ethernet or Fast Ethernet LAN server connections, all models feature a UTP port that complies with IEEE 802.3 and 802.3u standards. Even better, the UTP port autosenses for network speed, so you can send print jobs from either a 10-Mbps or 100-Mbps network to the print server. Compatible with TCP/IP, IPX/SPX(tm), and AppleTalk(R) network protocols, the print servers are easy to integrate into an existing network environment. Because the print servers support bidirectional communications, you can both send information to and retrieve information from the attached printers. This way, you can troubleshoot your printer operation over the network or over the Internet. The print servers come with a CD-based utility that includes an installation wizard for complete configuration and management on the print server side. To configure and manage the servers via a TCP/IP connection, just install the included Web manager utility that enables you to access the print server by entering its IP address into your browser's address field. Flash memory enables convenient upgrades to the print servers.
