With the IP DSLAM 12, you can cost effectively implement high-speed broadband Internet, Virtual Private Network, and Remote LAN services in your network. The 14-slot chassis holds 12 access modules that provide up to 144 DSL or T1/E1 lines each. The last two slots are for a multiplexor uplink module and an uplink interface module. This easy-to-use DSL solution provides IDSL, SDSL, ADSL, and T1/E1 without breaking your budget. Automatic configuration, backup and recovery services, and traffic management make it simple to offer IP broadband services. Additionally, the IP packet-based filtering makes it possible to use Ethernet on the service network. You get the ease of use and the reliability of Ethernet, which significantly reduces administration and configuration costs. To eliminate the need for ATM or Frame Relay backbones with your network, you can add backhaul units. These units are ideal for supporting high-speed packet-based backhaul from the IP DSLAM 12. First, determine whether your backhaul unit will connect T1, DS3, E1, or E3 lines. Then choose the number of ports you need. Finally, decide if you want a DC power supply, which includes dual -48-volt DC terminal blocks.
