Description:
- The Pocket Opto Source provides a light source for testing.
- The Pocket Fiber Tester provides inexpensive fiber testing. The Fiber Talk'n Test not only enables you to test installed fiber optic cable or a new cable spool, but you can also communicate with your partner at the same time. The line you're testing carries your messages from your Fiber Talk'n Test to your partner's. The Pocket Fiber Tester also tests for continuity on your fiber optic cable. It generates an 850-nm wavelength only. The tester works with these fiber optic cables: multimode; 50-, 62.5-, and 100-micron; simplex, duplex, or bundled. To test cable that's already installed, use a Pocket Opto Source with a Pocket Fiber Tester. Send a beam of light from your Opto Source down the cable, so someone at the other end can receive the signal in the tester. Both testers and the Opto Source work on multimode cable.
