The rotating cam on the ST(R) and FC Prepolished Fiber Connectors makes termination quick and smooth. All connectors come with a fiber optic stub in the connector tip, which is cemented firmly in place. You'll get the strength of a bonded connection with no gluing or polishing. The stub is polished to a physical-contact (PC) finish. Because the connectors are prepolished, there's no need for polishing and epoxy during installation, which makes it easy to get peak performance. The connector housing is designed to make matching up the fiber stub and cable easy. Insert a stripped and cleaved fiber cable in the connector, and when you feel little or no resistance, the fiber and stub and are matched up correctly. Then just crimp!
