Because the emulator's versatile design is built around a hardware platform with added software modules, there's no need to replace equipment as telephone technology evolves--just add a new software module! The emulator simulates the North American and international telco environment and provides extensive programmability of call progress tones and ring frequencies. Four-loop-start lines have independently programmable characteristics. The emulator operates in either 4-port or dual 2-port modes and can support two independent calls simultaneously. The easy-to-use Windows(R) interface makes programming a snap. Create your own program configurations and instantly modify programming parameters. Programmable features include phone numbers, attenuation, frequency, amplitude, cadence, test-tone frequencies and amplitudes, call timings, line impedance, and more. Advanced Simulation Software Module The included Advanced Simulation Software Module adds even more features to the Advanced Line Emulator. With this module, you can:
- Simulate line conditions such as echo, white noise, satellite delay, and more.
- Enable or disable Caller ID after every ring.
- Enable or disable DMTF detection.
- Store 16 different configurations.
- Measure signal level. International Module The international module, also included, enables you to test your applications under international conditions.
- Choose from 12 predefined country settings or program your own--you can store up to 16 configurations.
- The module generates many different national call progress tones, ringing frequencies, and ringing cadences.
- You can simulate not just calls from the U.S. to other countries but also calls between two other countries.
- Choose from 12- or 16-kHz metering tones.
