- These taps are transmit-only so attached monitoring devices are invisible to the network. Here are two easy, unobtrusive ways to tap into your network for monitoring and testing. With these compact network taps, you can keep data flowing and users working while you get on with your work. Set them up and monitor network traffic, troubleshoot problems, and run test equipment with no interruption in data flow. Signal integrity is guaranteed! Incoming data is actually regenerated before transmission. Use either tap with common network equipment, such as routers, hubs, switches, and LAN analyzers. Connect two ATM or Ethernet devices to Ports A and B on the module. Connect a LAN analyzer to the monitor ports. The LAN analyzer can then monitor traffic between the two devices.
