The V.92 and V.90 Mini-Modems are compatible with fully digital servers, so you get the fastest analog speeds possible. These 56-kbps Mini-Modems feature V.34+ speeds for client-to-client communication. What's more, the 56-kbps models come with a host of dialing features. They can store up to four numbers for automatic or DTR dialing, redial, repeat dial, dial linking, pulse or tone dialing, and dial pauses. Negotiation features enable fallback and return to accommodate line quality. They also offer speed detection and come with automatic baud adjustment and data-rate selection. The V.92 and V.90 Mini-Modems are fully AT command compatible. They enable Caller ID reporting and have a nonvolatile memory for on-screen display of modem settings. Flash ROM enables firmware updates as technology changes. The V.92 version has a fax rate (33.6 kbps) that's more than twice as fast as other modems and is enabled for Call Waiting.
