Use the IP-ready devices in this system over your CAT5 Ethernet network--local, remote, or Internet-based--for a variety of security applications. You can view, record, store, and retrieve video at local or remote sites from a central authorized PC. Start with the IP Security Camera (LC1000A), which enables you to view the camera image locally or remotely from an Ethernet-attached Windows(R) PC. Because the camera uses its own TCP/IP connection, integrating it into an existing network is easy. You only need to assign the camera its own IP address. With its built-in 10/100 Ethernet card, the camera is easy to connect to CAT5 cable. A BNC analog output is provided for simultaneous video transmission over coax. The camera features advanced video-compression and provides frame rates that are among the fastest in the industry. And it typically uses no more bandwidth than a serial device on your network. If network traffic is busy, adjust the camera's dynamic throttle to set bandwidth consumption as low as 9600 bps. Viewing software for setup and basic viewing applications is included with the camera. Use it to set frame rates, bandwidth throttle, and to switch from color to black-and-white. For more advanced viewing capabilities, you need IP Security View software. Choose from five iris lenses for your camera. (The IP Security Camera does not come with the lens preinstalled.) If you want to expand your system to include "generic" closed-circuit TV (CCTV) equipment, order the IP Security CCTV Connector (LC1003A). It has two coax connectors: one for input and one for output. Use it to connect the camera to your existing CCTV equipment for recording images to a VCR or displaying on video monitors. It also includes a basic Windows based viewer software package. Add advanced video recording functions to your system with the IP Security Digital Recorder (LC1004A). This software enables you to digitally record and view up to 16 TCP/IP video streams at the same time! You can also store and retrieve digital images and video streams for later playback. For single-user, multisession viewing of up to 16 camera feeds, use IP Security View Software (LC1005A). Both software packages are compatible with PCs running Windows 95/98, 2000, or Windows NT(R).
