The MicroStat-2 multiplexes two asynchronous channels--at data rates up to 38.4 kbps--onto a single asynchronous point-to-point link. And since both subchannels and the modem channel support these data rates, you can take full advantage of V.34+ modem technology. What's more, you get either hardware or software flow control, end to end. Also you can configure both local and remote from the local end. The MicroStat-2 derives its power from the RS-232 device, so it doesn't need any outside AC power or batteries.
