Description:
- Configuring is as simple as installing a set of shorting jumpers.
- Sync or async. The BLACK BOX(R) RS-232<->RS-422/449 Interface Converter is ideal for converting sync and async RS-422 interfaces to RS-232. It converts all commonly used signals for RS-232 to RS-422/RS-449 bidirectionally. Setup is super easy, too. To configure, just move the jumpers. Set the converter for RS-422 data communications equipment (DCE) to RS-232 data terminal equipment (DTE) or RS-232 DCE to RS-422 DTE. The converter is designed to operate with one port configured as DTE and the other as DCE. However, it's not designed to function with both ports configured as DTE or DCE when operating in sync mode.
