Description:
- Simple to set up. Connect one RJ-45 port to CAT5e or CAT6 cable. Use the included patch cable to connect the second RJ-45 port to a ServSwitch CAT5 KVM Extender.
- Up to 36 nS delay on any single color. Until now, you couldn't use CAT5e or CAT6 cable with a CAT5 KVM extender. But Black Box makes it possible with the ServSwitch(tm) Brand CAT5 Extender Delay Line Module! Before the Delay Line Module came along, you'd have blurry images on your monitor if you mixed a CAT5 KVM extender with CAT5e or CAT6 cable. Why? When properly connected, a CAT5 KVM extender uses three out of four CAT5 cable pairs to separately transmit the RGB (red, blue, green) components of a video signal so they arrive at a video monitor simultaneously. Improperly connected, a CAT5 KVM extender using CAT5e or CAT6 cable causes the RGB components of each pixel to be spread out. And because the wire pairs of the CAT5e or CAT6 cables are of different electrical lengths, the RGB components do not arrive at the monitor at the same time. Images are smeared and blurry, and color fringing occurs. This result is known as delay skew. With user-selectable delays to ensure simultaneous sequencing of RGB reception, the Delay Line Module corrects almost all such delay skew problems. Easy to install. Simply connect a patch cable (included) between the Delay Line Module's extender port and the interconnect port on a CAT5 extender. Then connect the Delay Line Module in series with the main CAT5e or CAT6 cable. That's it! Bring everything into focus. The base of the Delay Line Module includes three sets of switches that enable you to insert a delay on any of the RGB channels. Adjust the switches while viewing an on-screen image until an acceptable picture is obtained. Works with many of our ServSwitch solutions! The Delay Line Module works with the Rackmount ServSwitch Brand CAT5 KVM Extender Hub--and it's compatible with more than 20 other ServSwitch CAT5 Extenders. To find out more, contact Tech Support!
