The tone generator's three-way toggle switch controls operation modes. A three-colored LED indicates line polarity, continuity, and voltage. Choose from two tones--a single solid tone and a dual alternating tone to use in noisy environments. The amplifier increases sensitivity and identifies and traces wires without damaging the insulation. Adjustable sensitivity levels enable you to zero in on cable groups, pairs, and individual wires.
