USB to RS-232 Opto Isolator (SP385A) This compact opto-isolator enables you to attach an RS-232 device to a USB port and gain isolation from voltage spikes and ground loops. It doesn't require PCI or ISA slots, or IRQs. Using an optional USB Type A-Type B cable, simply plug the opto-isolator into the USB port and Windows will configure the device as an additional COM port. It's compatible with Windows 98/ 98 SE/Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP applications. USB to RS-422/RS-485 Opto Isolator (SP390A) With this compact optically isolated device, you can protect your PC from dangerous spikes and surges on the RS-485/RS-422 network. Simply plug it into your PC's USB port (using an optional USB Type A-Type B cable) and configure its DIP switches for 2- or 4-wire operation. There's no need to use any ISA or PCI slots or IRQs. Windows automatically configures the output as an additional COM port. The opto-isolator includes drivers for Windows 98/ 98 SE/Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
