It gives you flexibility in user assignments because you can use it several different modes. This low-cost fingerprint reader is packed with features! With its integrated keypad, the reader combines many functions-- usually requiring multiple products--into a single reader at a very economical price. With the Biometric Fingerprint Reader, you can assign three levels of authentication, depending on the user. You can require a PIN plus a fingerprint, a fingerprint only, or a PIN only for entry. If you also want to use an embedded proximity reader to preload the fingerprint template, you can assign a card-only status to users. Biometric Fingerprint Readers with Embedded Proximity Readers are compatible with both Pyramid readers and HID cards/tags. If you use multiple readers in a system, you can connect them via an RS-485 network and the BioPointe Central software. This enables you to share the fingerprint templates from the enrollment reader with other readers on the system, and it provides management and reporting capabilities. By using it with the optional Enrollment Station, you can upload enrollment parameters directly to the network.
