- Button commands enable you to lighten and darken the screen, erase messages, and select English, Spanish, or French messaging. Are you tired of cold calls during dinner? What if you're in a rush when the phone rings but it's someone you can wait to talk to? What if it's someone you don't want to talk to? Find out who it is before you pick up the phone with the Single-Line Caller ID from Black Box. It's super-easy to set up and use. First, plug the unit into your wall jack with the included six-foot RJ-11 line cord. Then, connect your telephone to the Caller ID box. You're ready to go! After two rings, you'll see the caller's name and telephone number appear on the Caller ID screen. If a name and number don't appear, the unit will display different messages depending on the circumstances of the phone call:
- ANONYMOUS CALL--The person calling has chosen to block the transmission of his or her name and number.
- LONG DISTANCE--The incoming call is long distance.
- NO DATA SENT--Call information wasn't sent to the unit.
- UNAVAILABLE--The caller is in a place that doesn't support Caller ID. The Single-Line Caller ID also lets you know how many new calls you have, when you've reached the end of the caller list, and if you have a line error. In addition, a battery-shaped icon will appear when you should replace the batteries.
