Description:
This caseload of tools makes the task of terminating fiber with ceramic-tipped connectors a mess-free procedure. The Hot Melt Connector System Tool Kit contains tools for clean and precise terminations. With the kit, you get a portable Hot Melt oven that heats ST(R) Multimode Hot Melt Connectors (sold separately). Each connector comes preloaded with Hot Melt adhesive and, once heated to the appropriate temperature, bonds securely to the fiber cable without the need for an epoxy or other adhesive solution. Along with oven tools, you receive a handy cooling stand that keeps the terminated cables upright while the Hot Melt cures. The kit also has a number of tools and supplies for preparing the fiber cable for termination, threading fibers into a connector accurately, polishing the fibers, and examining the terminated fiber cable for flaws. An instructional video included in the kit shows you how easy it is to terminate your cable. If you terminate lots of cables, order the Hot Melt Polishing Machine so you don't have to polish by hand. Designed specifically for the Hot Melt Connector, the machine has an automatic timer and a single dry polishing paper that polishes the connector evenly.
