Description:
- Multilink bonding multiplexes up to eight lines into a single integrated circuit.
- Offer wire-speed performance, even with small packets and all network services enabled.
- Include extensive Quality of Service (QoS) features.
- Connect 10- or 100-Mbps Ethernet networks to up to eight T1 or E1 lines. BLACK BOX(R) Series 7000 Routers are ideal for providing T1/E1 Internet access to enterprise networks or branch offices, and for use by ISPs. These powerful edge routers deliver the highest throughput at wire speed of any comparable router, making them particularly well suited for VoIP applications. They include the features you're looking for, too, with QoS, VPN (optional on midrange models) and additional advanced network services to protect your data from unauthorized access or corruption. Extensive features. Series 7000 Routers are loaded with wire-speed performance, multilink bonding, VLAN tagging and forwarding, Frame Relay support, Quality of Service (QoS) support, and sophisticated management and security. Each router has two 10-/100-Mbps Ethernet ports for fast connection to your LAN and a built-in CSU/DSU for your T1 connection. High security. Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) provide secure communications for your offices over public infrastructures. Network Address Translation (NAT) enables the router to "hide" the IP addresses on your private network from the Internet. The routers also offer Denial of Service (DoS) Protection, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and many more security features and protocols. Multilink bonding. When you need more bandwidth than T1 but aren't yet ready for T3, Series 7000 Routers bridge the gap by combining up to eight lines into a single circuit with 12.352 Mbps of bandwidth. Load balancing ensures the packets are distributed evenly. Fast, fast, fast! A fast-path forwarding engine maintains wire-speed throughput with low latency. Advanced Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing keep packets moving. QoS optimizes bandwidth for data, voice, and video traffic so vital applications get priority. Easy to set up and manage. The Quick Start Guide walks you through the setup procedure so you can be up and running in no time! Management is through a command-line interface or SNMP software. Midrange routers. Choose midrange routers for mid-sized applications such as connecting branch offices. They're primarily for standalone use, although they can be rackmounted (for details, contact our FREE Tech Support). Power supplies are external transformers. Enterprise routers. Choose these routers for large-scale enterprise connectivity. They're NEBS Level 3 certified, and they've passed tests to ensure reliable operation even in adverse conditions. You can rackmount the routers on standard 19" or 23" rails with the included ears. Each comes with one 115-240-VAC autosensing internal power supply. To upgrade to dual redundant
