Description:
- Print seven different bar codes. This protocol converter from Black Box enables you to attach virtually any ASCII printer to an IBM(R) System 30XX, 43XX, or 937X host, or 3174, 3274, or 3276 controller. It offers more versatility by enabling you to generate multiple graphics symbols--and seven different bar codes--without IPDS(tm)! Print Code 3 of 9, Code 128, UPC A, EAN 8, EAN 13, Interleaved 2 of 5, and POST NET bar codes. With the graphics capabilities, you can use HP(R) and Lexmark(tm) color printers to add color charts and graphs to reports that used to be limited to text only. When connected to a laser printer operating in PCL mode, the converter enables Computer Output Reduction (COR) and Automatic Print Orientation (APO). In addition, it supports printer features that enable paper to be pulled from different bins, printing on both sides of the paper, and the use of different fonts. You can easily configure the converter through on-board DIP switches, host/PC download commands or through the setup software. LEDs indicate Host Ready, Printer Ready, PC/LAN Ready, Data Out, and Power. The A/C-7P RO (for parallel ports) features true IBM SCS printer emulations and standard parallel printer sharing. It includes laser printer cable.
