Description:
You've found the perfect solution for overcrowded DDS data centers. The MicroRACK System uses midplane architecture, incorporating internal connectors that run down the center of the chassis. Tuck away up to 16 cards in the MicroRACK System and compare the space and money you're saving. The front-facing buses accommodate a variety of function cards to house interface converters, NTUs, short-haul modems, and more. The corresponding rear-facing buses receive a variety of interface cards with a wide selection of data connectors: RJ-11, RJ-45, D-Style, fiber, and M-type. The cards are protocol independent and pass all appropriate data, clocking, and control signals. You can swap function cards and interface cards when your system changes. You can even hot-swap cards on the fly without shutting down. Sync MicroRACK Cards (IC222C, IC224C-IC225C) RS-232<-->V.35 MicroRACK Cards convert sync RS-232 to sync V.35 at data rates up to 384 kbps. Both the RS-232 and V.35 interfaces are DTE/DCE switchable. RS-232<-->X.21 MicroRACK Cards connect sync RS-232 to sync X.21, full- or half-duplex, with data rates up to 128 kbps. And the RS-232 interface is DCE/DTE switchable. You also get multiport interface conversion with this card. V.35<-->X.21 MicroRACK Cards enable V.35 hardware to communicate with X.21 hardware at data rates up to 2.048 Mbps. The V.35 interface is DCE/DTE switchable and has two 16-bit elastic buffers for maximum reliability. Async MicroRACK Cards (IC474C-IC475C, IC479C-IC480C) Async RS-232<-->RS-422/530 MicroRACK Cards convert async RS-232 to async RS-422/530 at data rates up to 19.2 kbps in point-to-point applications. Async RS-232<-->RS-485 MicroRACK Cards convert async RS-232 to async RS-485 at data rates up to 115.2 kbps in point-to-point or multipoint applications. Mini Driver Card (ME780C-RJ45) This card features two async RS-232 line drivers for point-to-point or multipoint applications. The driver supports 4-wire full-/half-duplex or 2-wire half-duplex operation over twisted pair. It supports speeds up to 19.2 kbps and distances up to 6 miles (9.7 km). Transformer isolation and silicon avalanche diode surge protection guard against power surges and ground loops. Mini Driver MP Cards (ME778C-RJ11, ME778C-RJ45) These cards feature dual multipoint async line drivers that can handle up to 50 terminal drops in a multipoint polling environment. They support speeds up to 115.2 kbps and distances up to 9.4 miles (15.1 km). They operate 2-wire half-duplex or 4-wire full-duplex. For RS-485 and serial printer applications that require hardware handshaking, the cards pass one control signal in each direction. They can be set for high or low impedance operation and the carrier may be set to constantly on or controlled by RTS.
