The ServSwitch(tm) Fiber KVM Extender Kit greatly extends the distance between a CPU and your keyboard, mouse, monitor, and printer--up to one kilometer away without signal degradation! The extender kit is especially useful in electrically noisy environments. Normal keyboard/video/mouse extension cables and extenders that use standard cabling can only go so far--and EMI noise can limit their distance and reliability. But with the ServSwitch fiber optic system, such concerns are a thing of the past! With fiber, you can transmit KVM signals up to 1000 feet (304.8 m) from the CPU! For video clarity and resolution, the ServSwitch Fiber KVM Extender Kit features automatic gain control. Of course, you can still manually configure video signals by simply flipping a switch. The extender kit includes a local module attached at the CPU end and a remote module attached at the KVM side. Plus, it's fully compatible with most ServSwitch KVM switches.
