Description:
- Eliminate synchronization problems with built-in Jitter (attenuation) Suppression.
- Phase (locked) loop tech nology for extra distance. Get extra distance and more versatility all in one repeater. The 4/16 Token Ring Repeater runs at either 16 or 4 Mbps over Type 1 or Type 3 shielded or unshielded UTP cable. Connect Type 1 to Type 1, Type 3 to Type 3, or Type 1 to Type 3. The repeaters automatically sense which two ports are being used, so there are no jumpers or switches to set--ever. Use this repeater to extend your main ring or to add distance to a workstation lobe. You'll get an extra boost of up to 800 feet (240 m) over Category 5 UTP cable with phase (locked) loop technology at 16 Mbps. And you can add more than the standard 72 workstations on Type 3 Token Ring. The repeater has two RJ-45 UTP and two IBM DC STP connectors. Auto Loopback provides automatic fault tolerance if a cable breaks or disconnects.
