Use BLACK BOX(R) Port Multipliers to easily add ports at the edge of your network or for quick network expansion. These handy little switches have the features you're looking for--the copper ports support both 10- and 100-Mbps Ethernet and are autosensing for speed and duplex. Auto MDI/MDI-X means you never have to hunt for crossover cables. Just plug-and-play and you're ready to go! The fiber models (LB1004A-LB1005A) terminate a 100-Mbps multimode fiber run and add three autosensing 10/100 Ethernet ports. They're the perfect way to install far-flung workstations and Ethernet devices such as IP security cameras up to two kilometers (1.2 mi.) from your central switches. LinkLoss(tm) and FiberAlert(tm) features alert you via diagnosic LEDs if the fiber link fails. Choose the copper model (LB1006A) to quickly add more ports wherever you need them. Just mount it on the wall next to your RJ-45 Ethernet wall outlet, connect it with a patch cable, and you have three Ethernet ports where there used to be one! The wallmount bracket is included.
