But that is where the comparisons end. That's because the Mini CATx Extenders pack maximum versatility into each kit. Connect up to 300 feet over CATx. Three kit versions are available. They all include a local (transmitter) unit and remote (receiver) unit. Both units are connected with up to 300 feet (91.4 m) of CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 cable. The Local CPU to Remote Station kits connect your remote control station to a single local CPU. The Local CPU to Remote ServSwitch kits connect a ServSwitch at your remote control station to a local CPU. Order one kit for each local CPU you need to access and control. The Local ServSwitch to Remote Station kits connect your remote control station to a ServSwitch on the local end of the link that's used to access and control a number of local CPUs. Automatic cable length adjustment. Each extender kit automatically measures the distance between the local and remote units and adjusts video equalization and gain for cable length. There are no jumpers to set or knobs to manipulate. You can even display the distance measurement if you like. Make your resolutions go the distance. You get outstanding video resolution with these extenders. At distances up to 200 feet (60.9 m), they handle resolutions up to 1600 x 1280. At up to 300 feet (91.4 m), they support resolutions up to 1280 x 1024. Video quality is superb and clear no matter what the length of your extension application is. Get the boot--with keyboard and mouse emulation. The Mini CATx Extenders use a microprocessor that emulates remote keyboard and mouse signals. That means if the remote keyboard and mouse aren't connected, the local CPU can still boot as long as it's connected to the local extender unit. Ready for the future.
