Eliminate the dead-zone effect that an OTDR launch pulse has on loss measurements with this new pulse suppressor. When using an OTDR, it's often difficult or impossible to measure the loss of the initial section of a fiber because of the launch pulse. The longer the pulse, the longer the section of fiber that can't be measured. Solve the problem with the Launch Equalizer. Just connect it between your OTDR and the fiber. The Launch Equalizer compensates for the dead zone, giving you true loss measurements. When testing longer lengths of fiber, opt for a longer Launch Equalizer. Or stack them for just the length you need. Connect any type of fiber. The patented QuickMATE adapters accept ST, FC, SC, DIN, E2000, or any 2.5-mm ferrule. And the extremely compact, weather-resistant case makes the Launch Equalizer easy to tote along in your OTDR case.
