Description:
These powerful, yet easy-to-operate external printer interfaces enable you to connect virtually any ASCII printer to an AS/400(R) or S/3X host. You can use your ASCII laser or dot-matrix printer for more than twinax to ASCII text conversion. Print Code 3 of 9, Code 128, UPC A, EAN 8, EAN 13, Interleaved 2 of 5, and POST NET bar codes without IPDS(tm). With the graphics capabilities, you can use HP-GL(R) commands to create and print boxes, circles, and lines--even make your own bar and pie charts. You also get support for HP(R) and Lexmark(tm) color printers with commands for color printing. The PQ-8P (for parallel ports) and PQ-8S (for serial ports) feature true IBM(R) SCS printer emulations and standard parallel or serial printer sharing. Setup is through DIP switches, host/PC download commands. Both converters include printer cable and autoterminating "V" cable.
