Description:
Get short-haul sync data communications over your own twisted-pair cable. This V.35 Multipoint Line Driver has an RS-485 interface that uses nominal 24 AWG UTP wiring and has a DB25 female connector on the back. A V.35 port configured as a DCE enables you to connect to a host computer or terminal (DTE) and a 4-screw terminal block for RS-485 communication over a 2- or 4-wire line. It comes with a 6-inch DB25 male-to-M/34 adapter cable. You can link it to controllers, printers, and front-end processors--up to 64 drops. Select data speeds of up to 256 kbps. Four front-panel LEDs indicate flow control. Three pushbuttons select line and digital loopback tests. Internal switches determine speed, carrier, operation, TX data select, and node termination.
