The Serial Console Port Manager provides 115.2-kbps data throughput and full flow control to handle the higher speeds of faster data-communication equipment. It's perfect for connecting multiple RS-232 devices for on-site and dialup remote access. With our enhanced SW544A-M-R2 serial matrix switch, you get extensive security features, and you can mix and match PCs and peripherals on seven ports. The eighth port is a built-in 33.6-kbps modem, which enables you to access your equipment's console ports remotely for out-of-band management. Access each port individually by port number or by assigned name, and any port can select any other port. Each port is configurable for data rate, parity, flow control, and other parameters. Each port has four modes of operation: Modem Mode, Any-to-Any Mode, Buffer Mode, or Passive Mode.
