CONNECTORS: CYLINDRICAL

This class of connectors, as the name implies, is actually round. The configuration may also have a flange with four holes, or may have a strain relief clamp at the rear, can be of a number of different inserts, or can have male pins or female sockets. The variation possibilities are virtually unlimited. The military has published many specs on connectors, among which are MIL-C-5015, MIL-C-26500, MIL-C-27599 and MIL-C-3899. There are also a number of “MS” (Military Standard) drawings associated with these specs. MS-3100 thru MS 3108 cover the most popular variations. The MS part numbers are broken down as follows:
